Simon Scotting has worked in the industry for over 20 years. Based in Somerset, he spent several years as a practising Arborist, before working as an approved Lantra Awards freelance instructor for ground based and aerial chainsaw operations and an instructor and assessor for City & Guilds NPTC ground based and aerial chainsaw operations.

Today, he provides training to people and organisations responsible for tree safety inspections and management and specialises in tree risk management advice to a range of private clients and organisations.

This includes working with individuals aspiring to move from the practical aspect of working on trees and helping them to develop the skills to provide tree advice, safety surveys and reports.

The range of clients that he has had the opportunity to work with over the years, includes various conservation charities, as well as several large public gardens and local authorities throughout the UK including the delivery of courses overseas to clients responsible for providing advice surrounding tree management in large cities and urban areas.

He is always  happy to discuss any questions you might have regarding your training or tree risk management requirements.
