Price: £195.00 per person, including the Lantra registration fee.
Ideally, those wishing to attend the refresher course should have already completed the Lantra 3 Day tree inspection course. It is an opportunity to meet up with colleagues in the industry who are carrying out detailed tree surveys and inspections part of their day-to-day role, with the chance to share good practice, experiences and issues in relation to tree safety and their management.
The course includes some theoretical sessions, briefly revisiting areas such as the legal framework surrounding tree inspections and the professional duty of the tree inspector, as well as looking at any new developments or new research that may have come to light since attending the PTI course, that can help your approach in the decision making process regarding tree safety. The day also includes some practical sessions with a VTA walk and the opportunity to carry out detailed inspections on site, taking field notes and discussing these as a group to help individuals compare and review their working practices.
A day full of discussion and plenty of signposting to articles and reference material to research after the course. Above all, a day to enjoy without the pressure of a formal assessment at the end but with the bonus of some valuable CPD.
