Tree Safety surveys and Inspections
Tree Safety & Condition Surveys
Tree Surveys can be carried out for a number of reasons:
- To gain an understanding of the range of species and age class within an area.
- The potential need for new planting.
- Safety reasons to meet general legal obligations.
A survey may include details of all the trees within an area or only those that may require tree surgery or other considerations.
These needs can be discussed with you to ensure that any work proposed meets your objectives in the most efficient and financially economical way possible.
We carry out surveys focussed particularly on housing associations, schools, and estates to private landowners with a limited number of trees.
Tree surveys will meet general legal obligations such as those under the Occupiers Liability Acts (1957 and 1984) and Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, as well as the common law torts of nuisance and negligence.
Tree inspections
Following a tree survey, one or a number of trees may need a detailed inspection. This is a close examination of the tree, ensuring that all areas of the tree are inspected for any possible structural weaknesses or for the presence of pests, diseases or fungal infection which could affect the vitality or structural integrity of the tree. This is followed by the provision of recommendations and appropriate timescales for any work to be carried out.
